Are you struggling to control your asthma symptoms? Perhaps your child has asthma and you want to reduce the risk of an asthma attack.

Whatever the reason, our air purifiers are clinically proven to alleviate asthma symptoms and improve your respiratory health. As part of a clinical trial we worked with the country’s leading children’s hospital in Cincinnati. The results of the trial show that running an Austin Air Purifier helps to improve symptoms of asthma in young children and dramatically reduces the number of visits to the emergency room.

The Austin Air HealthMate Plus® is the best air purifier for asthma

Developed specifically for people with asthma. The unique design of the HealthMate Plus® removes the widest range of chemicals and VOC’s that are often a real danger for people with asthma.

How does it work?

First let’s take a look at the filter. The Austin Air HealthMate Plus® has 4 stages of filtration.

  • The first, traps larger pollutants such as dust, hair and pet dander. Basically, the pollutants we can see.
  • The second stage of filtration takes care of medium sized particles, such as mold, spores and pollen.
  • The third stage of filtration uses a unique blend of Activated Carbon, Potassium Iodide Impregnated Carbon and Zeolite. Making it highly effective at removing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, benzenes, chemicals, gases and odors. But it doesn’t stop there.
  • The fourth stage of filtration uses Medical Grade Certified HEPA Material. Certified HEPA Material removes the tiniest of particles, as small as 0.1 microns. To give this some perspective, the average human hair is around 75 microns in diameter. 0.1 micron really is tiny.

Unique 360-degree intake system

Unlike other brands, Austin Air uses a 360-degree intake system. Drawing air into all sides of the filter like this ensures maximum cleaning capacity. We are also the only air purifier constructed using solid steel and a non-toxic powder coated paint. No plastic, no polystyrene, no off gassing.

Unrivalled filter life

We are the only air purifier with a 5-year filter life. No other air purifier comes close to this.

New CDC Mold Data (2026): What It Really Means
